Nolan continued his education at New York University Graduate School of Business in New York City, including study under noted management expert and author, Peter Drucker.
His career began at Grey Advertising
in New York City, where he worked on the Procter & Gamble and General Foods accounts. At Grey, he created and implemented
the first practical method to use national print media in test markets. Although working in a marketing role, two print advertisements
that he created were selected among the 400 Best Read Ads in the country from over 10,000 measured by the leading advertising
readership organization.
After a successful start in New York City, he joined an Atlanta marketing firm. The CEO of one
of his clients at that firm asked him to become part of his company as its first marketing head. That company was Norrell Corporation, which became one of the national leaders in the temporary services business before its recent acquisition. There he was
instrumental in formulating the strategy that helped the company grow from a $25 million business into one well over $1 billion
in sales.

for a multinational telecommunications company. He is an invited guest lecturer on business strategy and ebusiness at Georgia
State University and Kennesaw State University.
Exposure to manual labor, picking cotton in a hot field at age 8 and then
summer work in a textile mill (working on the first shift from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.), convinced him of the value of an education.
His career as an entrepreneur began at age 11 selling a weekly newspaper door-to-door. This entrepreneurial spirit has continued
throughout his career. It is an asset to his clients and business associates.
